George is happy. Mostly. He loves his teaching job and his daughter Suzi, though he wishes he saw her a little more. All the same, it feels like time for a change - getting over Suzi's mum is definitely long overdue. So George sets up an online dating profile ... and waits to see what will happen.
Moving On:
Three great loves. Two very different countries. One step closer to finding her way home... As a new decade begins, hopeless romantic and big dreamer Ellen is finally moving on from her hometown.
The Street Where You Live:
When a heatwave coincides with rehearsals for an end-of-summer concert, temperatures soar - and small town scandals are around every corner . . .It turns out that some members of the choir have secrets they are desperate to keep hidden.
The Restaurant:
When Emily's heart was broken by the love of her life, she never imagined that she would find herself, just two years later, running a small restaurant in what used to be her grandmother's tiny hat shop. The Food of Love offers diners the possibility of friendship (and maybe more) as well as a delicious meal.
The Book Club:
In the small seaside town of Fairweather, the local book club - a tight-knit group - is still reeling in the aftermath of a tragic accident.Lil Noonan hasn't spoken a word since, and her grandmother Beth is worried that she plans to spend the rest of her life hidden away with only books for company.
The Reunion:
Caroline, now a successful knitwear designer, spends her time flying between her business in England and her lover in Italy. As far as she's concerned, her school days, and what happened to her the year she left, should stay in the past.
About the Author:
In 1977 Roisin Meaney finished a sentence and won a car. The sentence was 'I would like to win a Ford Fiesta because ...my father won't let me drive his.' Over the years that followed she wrote a lot more sentences and won a lot more prizes. In 2001 she finally decided to keep writing sentences until she filled a book, and in 2008, with three published novels under her belt, she gave up her teaching job to become a fulltime writer. Since 2001 she's written twenty-one adult novels and three children's books. Her work has been translated into German, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Polish and Slovenian.
