About the Author:

Katherine Rundell (born 1987) is a celebrated English children's author and academic, known for adventure stories like Rooftoppers (Blue Peter Book Award) and The Explorer (Costa Children's Book Award). She's also a Fellow at Oxford's All Souls College, writes adult non-fiction (winning the Baillie Gifford Prize for Super-Infinite), and was named Author of the Year at the 2024 British Book Awards. Her recent fantasy Impossible Creatures won Waterstones Book of the Year 2023.
