Julia Donaldson CBE (born 1948) is a highly acclaimed English author, playwright, and songwriter, best known for her immensely popular children’s picture books, including the modern classic The Gruffalo. Often collaborating with illustrator Axel Scheffler, she has written over 180 works, many of which have been adapted into films and stage plays.
